Inside The Cage
Welcome to Lacrosse Savage, your go-to place for all lacrosse apparel and team sportswear. We are a Canadian company serving lacrosse organizations, players and fans across the globe.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
Lacrosse Savage was founded by two passionate lacrosse players from Kitchener Waterloo. We have been major lacrosse fans our whole lives and played minor to the pro levels of lacrosse. Our lacrosse apparel brand was inspired for our love of the game. We are passionate about growing the game of lacrosse and use our sports apparel to spread awareness and support for former, current and hopefully, new lacrosse players.
Meet The Team
Fred Rooymans and Scott Tinning are the captains of Lacrosse Savage. Both of them still play lacrosse and are greatly involved in the Kitchener Waterloo Lacrosse organization.
Fred Rooymans was born and raised in Kitchener Waterloo and his love for the game started at a young age watching his two uncles play competitively. Fred soon picked up the stick and started playing lax in his grandparents back yard. Soon, his game transitioned from the backyard and Fred started playing Kitchener minor lacrosse. He played from Novice all the way up to Junior. Fred ventured to the US to pursue lacrosse a bit further, where he played field & box lacrosse. Upon his return to Canada, he continued to play field lacrosse and box lacrosse for a couple more years. Fast forward a couple of years and Fred was hired as a part-time firefighter and played for Team Canada at the World Police Fire Games. Fred has continued to invest his time in lacrosse through coaching at every level. Most recently, he held the position as a VP & President of the Jr. Braves. This sparked his entrepreneurial mindset and soon after, (along with his good friend Scott) launched Lacrosse Savage with a mission to grow the game and provide lacrosse apparel and equipment designed by real lacrosse athletes.
Scott Tinning's love for the game started at an early age and a stick has been in his hand ever since. After playing minors, Scott was selected as captain for the Kitchener Jr. “A” Braves. He soon headed to Western University in London, Ontario where he played football and field lacrosse. Soon after, Scott competed in the National Jr. A Championship. His lacrosse career continued into the National Lacrosse League, where he was drafted first round, twelfth pick to the Edmonton Rush (now Saskatchewan Rush). The following year, Scott was awarded Western Lacrosse League’s Rookie of the Year. Due to an injury, his lacrosse career was cut short, but his passion (and obsession) has continued. He spends his time coaching coaching minor and Jr. A. lacrosse, as well as building Lacrosse Savage as the number one lacrosse lifestyle brand. When Scott isn't working on the brand, you can find his pursuing his dream of being a firefighter.
Lacrosse Savage works closely with National Lacrosse League pro athletes to develop and design superior lacrosse apparel and accessories. We believe in providing the fans, players, parents and coaches the best service and product that our National Sport of Lacrosse has to offer.
